What We Do
Volunteer Services We Provide
Listed below are just some of the services
we provide at the Fulton County Humane
Society. Keep in mind that all of these are
done by volunteers.  If you can help in
any of the following areas please contact
us at the shelter.  We are always in need
of great volunteers.  It is a rewarding
experience and one you can be proud of.
See the "Volunteer info " page for more
detailed information on our volunteer
program.  We do have monthly Volunteer
Orientation meetings.  You do not need to
be a resident of the county to volunteer.

Could this be you??
Are you retired?  Are your kids grown
or in school? Do you have some free
time during the day?  Do you love
animals?  Maybe you have worked
with animals before.  If you answered
"yes"  to any of these questions then
you just might be the person we are
looking for.  We are always in need of
volunteers at the shelter.  Each month
I will focus on a different need we
have.  There are so many things you
can do to help.  It is a great experience
and so rewarding.
.
Sometimes we get kittens and puppies
that are too young to be exposed to a
shelter environment.   They don't have
the immunity needed to protect them
from the germs and illnesses that other
animals may bring into the shelter.  If
puppies or kittens come in without their
mothers they go into foster care where
they can be bottlefed.  We desperately
need help in these areas.  We try to find
foster homes for them if at all possible
but unfortunately, we have more animals
than foster homes.   O
thers may totally
withdraw and need to be put into foster
care.  If you are interested in fostering
for us, please contact the shelter and
we will get you started.  We provide the
food, bedding, carrier, bottles, etc, and
you provide the love.  What can be more
rewarding than caring for an animal that
needs YOU?  It is a great feeling
knowing that you have played a part in
helping this animal find their forever
home.  This is a great opportunity for
those who are unable to make it into the
shelter.
