| Petsmart Dates |
Each month our shelter takes
some of our cats and dogs to the
Petsmart in East Peoria and
Peoria, IL. The cats are usually
there from Monday through the
following Sunday. Our
volunteers are there on
Saturdays and Sundays to
answer any questions and handle
any possible adoptions. The
cats we choose have been
spayed or neutered and are up
to date on their shots. Some cats
may also be declawed. They
have been tested to make sure
they have no diseases. Those
that are going to Petsmart will
have "Petsmart" by their names
on Petfinder. If we have enough
volunteers we may take some
dogs in during the weekend
hours. If you are interested in
helping out at Petsmart and
helping our animals find their
forever homes, please consider
becoming a volunteer. Volunteer
orientation meeting are usually
the last Sunday of the month.

Instead of browsing at the pet
store consider visiting at your
local shelter. We get all kinds
of dogs in...............big, small,
Heinz 57s, even purebreds and
registered dogs. Your next
best friend may be waiting for
you!
Volunteer Orientation meetings will be
held the first Thursday of the month in
the conference room at the Humane
Society. The meeting starts at 6:00
pm. If you are thinking about
volunteering, please plan on attending.
